TurningPoints@2050

TurningPoints @ 2050

is the name we’ve chosen for the faith formation event which will happen at Trinity United Church on Saturday, October 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  As we talk about our future, we can get stuck in demographics or money, but what about where is the faith of the church going in the years to come?

TurningPoints will feature three speakers who will propose what the faith of the United Church should be in 2050.

Peter Wyatt (editor Touchstone Magazine and former principal of Emmanuel College) will speak from the radical middle.

Dianne Walker (editor of Fellowship Publications ) will speak from a “conservationist” perspective arguing for the “historical faith of the United Church set out in the basis of union”.

Mary Joseph (Spiritual Leader of Pathways) will speak from the perspective of progressive Christianity.

The cost for participation will be $35 or $7.50 for students
